Autobiographical style: yay, nay or hay?

Are we going to go for autobiographies on pages like this? I suppose such a thing would be frowned upon in principle on wikipedia, but it's the question of the style that I'm pondering about. - OOTF, 23/04/2007

Well, I just wrote my for fun. I don't see these pages as problems per se. I just think that some users spend too much time on them and too little time on the actual Wiki. As you've pointed out elsewhere, the Wiki is not supposed to be an ego project.
