[edit] Background
The Enigma Code, also known as TEC, real name Nick (Nicholas), is a member of Newspeak Dictionary Forums who hails from Chicago. He joined the forum in April of 2007. Despite this he has a very low post count of only about 200, because of extended periods of inactivity.
He participated, off and on, in the flame wars that eventually led to the Great Purge of June 2008.
[edit] Aliases
The Enigma Code changes his username often. He has used the following names in the past:
- The Enigma Code
- Bedlam Bridge
- Dionysus
- Comrade T.E.C.
- Seth Roark
- TEC of the Rebellion
- Land of Confusion
- TEC of Confusion
At present, his alias is Beautiful Humdrum. He has stated that he changed it as a marking of the end of the flame war, but has not provided a meaning for it.
[edit] Posts
The Enigma Code's posts are often filled with the occasional jab at or reference to pop culture. He's made reference to the music of Midnight Oil and Genesis in his usernames, as well as to Code Geass. He refers, as well, to The Fountainhead (among other works by Ayn Rand) often, as well as George Carlin (particularly in his rant against offensive language) and Bill Hicks.
