[edit] The Randy Rhoads Era

During the late 1970s Quiet Riot was signed to a Japanese record deal. What was most notable was that guitarist Randy Rhoads went on to join the Ozzy Osbourne Band/Blizzard of Ozz, that and they actually made Slick Black Cadillac four years before it appeared on Metal Health.

[edit] The Post Randy Rhoads Era

After Quiet Riot broke up, members of the band played under the name DuBrow. When Randy Rhoads died in a plane crash, they became Quiet Riot again. In order to make a ton of money and become a huge success, Quiet Riot played Slade songs. Metal Health became the first massively commercially successful Heavy Metal album due to the success of Cum On Feel the Noize.

After producing two good songs the band sucked, ripping another Slade song (Mama Weer All Crazee Now) and fading into mediocrity. In 1986 Quiet Riot donned huge wigs and make-up to be all young 'n stuff. Since this did not work, Paul Shortino replaced DuBrow as the lead singer during Quiet Riot's second self-titled album. Now, most members of Quiet Riot can now be seen working at your local Safeway.

[edit] Quiet Riot Guy

Since Quiet Riot is a "real" metal band, they had a totally fucked up mascot. He appeared on almost every quiet Riot album since Metal Health and is seen in most Quiet Riot music videos. Shit, QR is real metal because that guy is REALLY fucked up.
