His first name and actual position are unknown, but it is known that he works in the Ministry of Love where he tortured Jones, Aaronson, and Rutherford and tortures Winston. As he plays an active part in the framing operation in Nineteen Eighty-Four, he could possibly be described as a Thoughtpolice field agent.
