Kirov

Kirov, formerly known as General Secretary Kirov and Comrade Nikolai Kirov is noted for two things on the forum: First is his contribution to the Batshit Wars, and his second is his contribution to the Technocratic Syndicalism manifesto.
[edit] The Batshit Wars
While there were several battles preceding the First Batshit War, it officially began when Kirov began the infamous "Concerning rats" thread. While near the end, he just felt the forums should just wait for rats to feel like he would leave the forum. Unfortunately, that plan did not last long until rats had his account deactivated for posting 30 times in 24 hours. BB did not reactivate his account until March 2007, when rats came back for a much shorter war, in which he gave up. (See Batshit Wars thread for details.) It was Kirov who notified the forumers that rats' account had been reactivated and got the people of the forum ready for a new war.
[edit] Technocratic Syndicalism and Democratic Socialism
In June 2006, around the same time as the First Batshit War was beginning, Kirov and Comrade Mephistopheles collaborated on the manifesto of Technocratic Syndicalism, which is basically a slightly reworked version of Democratic Socialism (Details will appear in the Technocratic Syndicalism article as soon as it appears.) Ultimately, when it was realized that Technocratic Syndicalism and Democratic Socialism were almost identical, many members have switched from TechSyn to DemSoc. Mephistopheles was the head writer of the DemSoc manifesto, but after he came out initially as apathetic to politics in Mid-2007, and then to "social evolutionism", he ceded his control of the manifesto to Kirov and effectively left the movement, and the title of General Secretary was given to Kirov, thus providing him with his new title. Kirov hopes to lead the movement as far as possible. Mephistopheles and Kirov are still on good terms. In July, he became an anarchist, with a "smattering of socialism", renouncing his "General Secretary" title to become just plain "Kirov". Not much later, Kirov renounced anarchism after finding out that most of the anarchist collectives were vegetarian and bordering on utopian ideals, soon after joining a New Leninist manifesto and promptly aborting it.
Most recently, Kirov has returned to using a shortened form of his name, and after a protracted battle concerning Mephistopheles' new-found religious stances, returned to DemSoc and was promptly made General Secretary after being declared more capable than IO by Mephistopheles. As of the beginning of September, the situation concerning this declaration is in the process of being rectified.

- Kirov has stated in several posts on the forum that he is bisexual, making him one of a few users to have come out on the website.
- Kirov also has Asperger's Syndrome, an Autism spectrum disorder, as does fellow forumer AceBrock.
- Kirov joined the Inner Party on 7 7 2763 and permabanned by RAK and JD-sama for dissent on 6.17.2764.

I was purged and permabanned because I criticized the great Duumvirate of RAK and JD-sama, whose quest for power has been fulfilled. Because these people could not hold power correctly, they succumbed to the inevitable realization that absolute power, even on a forum, corrupts absolutely. And now this forum shall fall. I assure you the consequences have been considered, people have talked of banning meph since long before any of you even joined the forum, up until now the moderation staff has been against it.
There is no right to speech on any forum, the ability to post is a privilege given by the admin as is the privilege to moderate. Whatever actions myself and RAK may take we cannot be unfair to anyone bar perhaps BB. In effect RAK, as I am mostly otherwise occupied, has full control to dictate the purpose of this forum, using the forum otherwise is unfair.
One could draw a parallel to use of a real life debate forum, if the organiser has tabled a discussion on ecology it would be unfair for some participants to insist on discussing pop music. One aim disrupts the other and at the end of the day, if no compromise can be found, someone must stand up and make a choice between users.
We chose in a manner you dislike, let's not try to cover that fact accusations of unfairness or politicking, that's unfortunate but this forum is not a democracy, nor should it be. Obviously, we don't value the frequency of posting as much as the content, read into that any subjective biases you will but many forum members have left because of a similar judgement.
Dissent is the only appropriate action. Either you stand or you shall fall under their foot. Your choice.
