FFCC - Acronym with unknown meaning, but "FF" probably stands for "Floating Fortress". The FFCC was an organisation that supplied sailors in Floating Fortresses with cigarettes and other comforts; its leader may have been a certain Comrade Withers, a prominent member of the Inner Party. In the Times of the 12th of March 1983, Big Brother's Order for the Day praised the work of the FFCC and specially mentioned Comrade Withers. For unknown reasons, one or more leaders of the FFCC fell in disgrace and were most probably purged; the obvious effect was that every mention of the FFCC and Comrade Withers were erased from the Minitrue archives.
