Batonfromage is one of the newer members of the forums (5th wave). He originally joined on March 16, 2007, and has been active ever since. While not as quick to increase post count as other members, he makes it a point to maintain a decent Average Words per Post. He has not been a member for long enough to be called a regular, but has made his bones with a few decent debates.
[edit] Origin of Username
The name Batonfromage is the combining of two French words : Baton (stick) and Fromage (cheese). Batonfromage selected the name because of his limited knowledge of French (in fact, so limited as being the only French words he knew). The name was concocted a few years ago, and since then, he has made an effort to learn more about the French language."The name has grown on me" he exclaims in an interview with himself, "when I picked it, I lauged at the sheer stupidity of it. Now I actually think it sounds cool."

When Batonfromage first joined of the forums, he endorsed the Theory of Fascism. Being one of the few supporters of a sort of Totalitarianism, he easily found debate with other members. After roughly a few months, Batonfromage loss faith in Fascism and briefly became apathetic towards politics. This however, did not last long. Batonfromage soon made a drastic change from Fascism to Libertarianism. Overtime Batonfromage grew apathetic to politics, but still retains somewhat of an interest. He believes largely in freedom (in ways - Libertarian), though he will stand up for basic worker's rights and that of the un-born.

While Batonfromage has supported Christianity since his arrival on the forums, it was not until recently that he became born again. While he supported Fascism, he supported the idea of the Inquisition and wished to forcibly convert the nation to Christianity. Through God's guidance he realized that these were horrible practices that went against the teachings of Christ. Since then, Batonfromage has attempted to follow Biblical teachings and live a more Christian lifestyle. He has undergone many changes in religion (ranging from Calvinism to Quakerism). He finally settled with a religion he never expected : Catholicism. Batonfromage now attends daily mass at his local church and is preparing to begin Catechism come August.

Batonfromage is a self-confessed Batman-nerd (as seen by his current avatar). He collects various memorabilia from the movies, bobble heads, key chains, posters, and comics. He is currently employed in creating his own costume to wear to the Dark Knight June release.
