Oceania - One of three superpowers in Nineteen Eighty-Four and the nation in which the actual story takes place.

Oceania is a superstate composed of the Americas, Britain, Australia and New Zealand, and the southern portion of Africa; it often declares war against the other two superstates over the disputed territories, only one at a time and alternating between the two. The pre-revolution names of former nations have been replaced with more utilitarian, military ones; England (as well as possibly all of Britain) is known as Airstrip One.

Oceania additionally usually controls India, a former British colony (now Oceanian), although Eastasia constantly deprives them of Indian territory; the Malabar Front is often mentioned.
